Our Client FHN Family Counseling Center is proud to offer services ranging from support for new parents to individual and group therapy, substance abuse prevention and education and crisis services.FHN Family Counseling celebrated 50 years of serving the community in 2018 and are committed to continually improving access to and the effectiveness of our services in 2020.Some of the services we offer include:Behavioral health assessment and treatment planning, Individual therapy, Family/marital/couples therapy, Psychiatric services, Group therapy, Psychological assessment, Crisis Services, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Substance Abuse Prevention and Education, Case management/community support services, Beyond Words Pet Therapy ProgramProvide competent outpatient mental health assessment and treatment to individuals, families, and groups regarding biopsychosocial concerns. Develops and implements a treatment plan to address presenting problems. Provide clinical supervision to interns and sign off on their clinical hours.Job SummaryThe delivery system practiced at FHN employs the concepts of differentiated nursing incorporating the PRIDE Standards as set forth by FHN. Responsibilities for delegated patient care activities under the direction of licensed professionals, for an identified patient population.• Typical duties of a mental health technician include coordinating mental health care services, assisting in patient assessment, monitoring and documenting care, escorting patients and identifying the personal needs of patients.• Assisting medical staff team with needs of patients.• Demonstrates clinical competency in providing age specific care to patients in designated areas of practice.• Utilize de-escalation techniques with patients needing intervention.• Monitor and document environment of care to prevent behavior escalation.• Assist in patient assessment; vitals, EKG, phlebotomy.• Enter patient information in electronic health record, EHR. • Other duties may be assigned. RequirementsEducation:  High School Diploma or Equivalent required.  Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or EMT-B Certification/Licensure preferred.  Phlebotomy certification preferred.Required Experience: 1 year of prior field-related experience with 1 year of patient experience preferred.  • Patient, flexible, and able to manage demanding situations• Ability to mulit-task and prioritize project and work flow; Interpersonal and communication skills• Basic knowledge of behavioral health terminology as it pertains to services.
