Position:  Data Analyst
Location:  Remote- But must be in a commutable distance to one of the following locations (Chadds Ford, PA / Dallas-Fort Worth, TX or Tempe, AZ)
Duration: 12 Months

Position Summary:

Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Compliance Management System (CMS) for the company’s indirect and direct motor vehicle finance operations: 
Conducts reviews designed to detect and remediate compliance issues, researches, gathers data and interprets information, briefing management on all findings and progress on implementing solutions
Must be able to analyze, interpret, and understand the information in different forms such as reports, tables, written documents, verbal and electronic files
Must be able to obtain, control, sort, organize and analyze large amounts of data that vary in complexity
Must be able to work effectively, in a collaborative manner, with multiple departments within the company, vendors, and internal and external auditors on compliance items and issues.  This includes supporting compliance-related inquiries, researching information, accessing various systems to obtain data, and tracking down information from different sources (systems, databases, internet, agencies, and vendors)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Conduct data analyses using a variety of programs (including but not limited to SQL Server and Microsoft Office Suite Programs), at the instruction of the Compliance or Legal Department, to help ensure compliance with laws, regulations and policies, and continued development of the CMS
Obtain, organize and analyze data from different sources such as but not limited to: databases, file feeds, spreadsheets, written or verbal information, websites, charts, tables, etc.
Organize and prioritize data requests
Independently seek out answers, data and information for compliance or legal requests.  These requests may be one-offs, not repetitive in nature, and will require the ability to understand what is being asked and the knowledge of where to get the answers
Conduct initial reviews of alleged compliance violations; research, gather data and interpret information, briefing management on all aspects of the alleged violation
Scope out what needs to be researched, organize and prioritize requests (often with competing delivery dates) and help manage department projects
Leverage interpersonal skills to get other associates who do not report to you or your leadership team to make your data requests their priority
Provide information to other business departments for use in executing customer remediation or other tasks.  Execute quality control functions to ensure remediation and other tasks are completed successfully

Proven experience working in a dynamic and changing environment
Experience performing analysis on data sets
Demonstrated ability to package and present results of the analysis
Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, listening, presentation, and facilitation
Communicate complex information to others in a way they can understand
Analytical thinking, decision making, time management, problem management, judgment
Strong cognitive skills, including analysis, problem-solving, attention to detail, and decision-making
Solid understanding and experience handling non-public personal information (NPPI)
Ability to meet tight deadlines

Computer Skills:
(Description of computer skills required or preferred and level of mastery. Example: Intermediate Microsoft Office required. Basic Adobe Suite. Advanced Excel preferred.
Proficient in SQL, preferably using Microsoft SQL Server
Ability to put SQL results into Excel, and familiarity with using Excel to show results in a clear and accessible manner
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Excel (skills with the vlookup function mandatory) and Word
Experience with SAS a plus
